Chris Snipes, a Trinidad and Tobago native, is a seasoned music industry professional with a remarkable journey. Chris’s passion for music ignited at a tender age when, under the guidance of his father and the tutelage of esteemed mentors at Walter’s School of Music, he discovered his innate talent for various instruments and a keen interest in music production.
Upon migrating to the US in 1992, Chris delved deeper into the music scene and found his mentor and guiding force in Lenox Romeo, also known as Pops. The exposure to a fully analog studio equipped with cutting-edge recording technology spurred Chris’s creativity, leading him to co-found the chart-topping group “Multiple Indefinite” and win prestigious showcases in the Tri-state area.
Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Chris pursued formal education in music business, management, and audio engineering at NYU and the Institute of Audio Research. This educational background, paired with his unwavering dedication, earned Chris an internship at Def Jam Records, where he ultimately ended up working and gleaned invaluable industry insights from luminaries such as Dame Dash and Russell Simmons.
After gaining a wealth of experience and honing his craft within the industry, Chris ventured into studio ownership and event management, culminating in the establishment of the iconic MIST in Manhattan. However, it was his resilience and unwavering commitment to excellence that led to the inception of 3TOP—a revolutionary music group and entertainment company that seeks to redefine the industry landscape.
